How To Not Let Big Goals Knock Your Confidence
When the distance between where you are now and where you want to be is so vast, how do you stop the overwhelm of the task in front of you from stopping you before you’ve even started and taking your confidence levels down a notch.
The answer? Gratitude.
Find the things in your life now that you’re thankful for. It will change the way you feel about your current situation.
When you change the way you feel about where you are now and when you take note of how far you’ve already come, your confidence will increase which will enable you to start taking action on closing that gap.
Also, you can start being grateful for all the things you’re going to learn and all the new exciting experiences that lay ahead for you. So instead of being impatient about reaching the finishing line, reframe your thinking and begin savoring every part of the journey.
It’s like when you’re at a music concert. You know that in 2 or 3 hours this amazing experience is going to come to an end, so you make a conscious decision to take in every moment and make time stand still because you don’t want it to end. Reframe your thinking into this same way when it comes to the journey to achieving your big goal.
