I didn’t know that I’d already met Fredeline a number of years ago, until she told me in the studio while we were busy with her headshot shoot.  The first time I’d photographed Fredeline was at a women’s cocktail event, back in the early days of my first arriving in Cape Town.

I’m so glad that I got the opportunity to really get to know Fredeline when she reached out to book her own Head Shot shoot to launch her new consultancy. Fredeline is an inspiring, vivacious and effervescent woman. Photographing her reminded me of why I do what I do – to honour the new journeys, the new chapters and the new self-image of women who are actively creating the life and business of their dreams. I have no doubt that Fredeline’s new business is not only going to have a powerful impact on her own life, but also on the lives of the people she works with. Find out more about the awesome work Fredeline is doing…

Explain what you do

Supports start-ups & already established SMME’s to set a business strategy and formulate an action plan to achieve those goals. Prepare business plans. However we all know it is with the implementation of these plans where things go wrong, thus I also provide business coaching & mentoring to clients as and when they may need it.

Who’s your target market?

Start-ups to existing businesses that are ready to scale

What problem of theirs do you solve?

Every business, irrespective of size, needs a set of strategic goals. Future-X supports businesses in realising their full potential by setting realistic but strategic goals and implement successful action plans.

What makes your product/service/business different?

We use a combination of long-standing relationships, tailor-made solutions and business coaching and mentoring programmes to assist our clients.

Why do you do what you do?

I am continuously in pursuit of knowledge, that I can then share and have a strong interest in personal and professional development.

What has been your biggest challenge as a business owner & how did you overcome it?

Currently: to get my company’s name “out there” and thus line-up more clients.

What advice would you give other business women, either starting out or already in business?

Not worry what others think about me/ expect me to be – finding my true self.

What would you do differently if you could start your business again?

Believe in yourself. Know that you are enough and you are good at what you do. Surround yourself with positive, inspiring friends/ females to support you through the journey of life.

What’s next for you and your business? What’s your big dream/goal?

I just registered my own consultancy – very excited, but extremely nervous to start this new venture. I know it will be hard work, with lots of late nights, but I believe it is time. It was in the plans for a while, but I was still very scared till now.

Why did you need a photo shoot?

For my company profile

What was your expectation for the photo shoot?

Normally I do not see myself as a very photogenic person so I was very nervous about the shoot – still not sure why.

What was your expectation for your images?

I wanted the images to portray me as professional, but still as open and approachable – and it definitely does.
