As a vegetarian and an animal lover, I’ve been wanting to find a way in which my photography can help the furry, scaled, and feathered creatures. I started a personal project a little while ago, where I was photographing vegetarian women and their animals. I specifically chose vegetarian women, because it was a personal project that I was doing in my own time and at my own expense, with the intention of building a body of work to explain what I was hoping to create. It took me a few shoots to finally figure out the direction I was going to go with these shoots.
I’ve finally found it. I found a way to combine my love for photographing women in the style of my couture portraiture along with their beloved animals. I am now offering Couture Creatures Portraits. This can be a stand alone shoot or an add-on to a Makeover Couture Shoot.
This is the first of the portfolio building series – and yes, it’s a selfie. That’s me and my baby, Beijing.
I have a few more of these initial shoots lined up and once I start offering them for purchase, proceeds from each of these shoots will be going to the Beauty Without Cruelty organisation. So if you’re interested in having one of these done for you and your fur/scale/feather-baby, drop me a mail.
