Today we set out on a little roadtrip. One that I’ve been looking forward to for months. We were meant to go on a previous weekend, but due to work commitments and a sudden clearing of this weekend, it’s happening now. It’s only for a weekend, so not long, but the appealing part, is that there is no internet connection or cell phone signal. So it’s forces us to find things to do that don’t involve the huge distraction that is the online world. Often times, I’ll stare into space as I’m online. Feeling frantic, feeling like I’m busy, but not achieving anything, feeling like a dear in the headlights.
So today I’m grateful that this road is leading us to a place where we are forced to unplug, even if for only a short while.
