Any shoot that gives me the opportunity to photograph women AND animals is already my favourite kind of shoot!
So when Ceri from From The Barkery contacted me and asked to book a Personal Branding shoot that included her cat, Jimmy Choo AND her neighbour’s dog, Pablo, I was epically over the moon! Coupled with the fact that Ceri is completely gorgeous and her Noordhoek home looks like it belongs on a double page spread of a home magazine.
This was one happy photographer! Creating fabulous photos for and having quality conversations with an inspiring female entrepreneur who’s built a phenomenal business in no time at all, while spending the day with happy furry creatures is quite literally my dream come true! Yes Universe, thank you! More please!!
From The Barkery
From The Barkery was created with a local all-natural luxury pet brand in mind, that produces customised treats, gift boxes and accessories for our furry friends that we are lucky enough to share our lives with. Beginning as a passion project within my restaurant kitchen, I wanted to make treats that reflect how our pets form part of our family. So while it is said that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, I knew that the same can be said for our beloved canine’s hearts too. What makes your product/service/business different?
It is our absolute dedication to delivering the best product and customer service, that separates our treats from others. A personalised treat for the furry guys is not just an occasional joy jumper, but rather an essential part of a pet’s life. Why do you do what you do?
Because I want the best for our furry friends. It makes my day when clients send me updates and stories of their animals, who no longer suffer with anxiety or pain, while simultaneously enjoying my yummy treats - it makes it all worthwhile. It really does make all the difference to know that people care for their animals and want the best for them. What would you do differently if you could start your journey again?
Absolutely nothing, i've enjoyed this awesome pawsome journey so far.
I've always been confident in my company and firmly believe the success is due to hard word, motivation and of course the furry guys. What advice would you give other women, either starting out or already in their business/career?
Believe in yourself. If you can dream it, you can do it and make it happen. What’s next for you and your journey?
To secure further national distribution of From The Barkey products, as well as expand worldwide. “I plan to take this company to the moon and back, and so far so good!”What does confidence mean to you?
Confidence is the key to lifeAnything else to add?
Everything from start to finish was amazing. I loved my pictures, shooting with Abigail was a relaxed experience and she made me feel like a million dollars.
