I’ve been waiting for this day a long time…
… and to be honest, I feel a little sick to my stomach that it’s here.
Which is totally silly, right?
Have you ever had a goal or a milestone that you’ve dreamt about non-stop? You become obsessed with it, talking, thinking and working on it every chance you get.
It almost becomes an obsession.
You imagine with absolute clarity what it’s going to look like when it’s finished. You can’t wait to share it with the world – to show others your creation!
And when it nears completion, you find yourself resisting, procrastinating, finding reasons to NOT finish it.
That’s exactly how I’ve felt over these past few months, and I’ve identified the culprit –
Fear of what others will think. Fear of my masterpiece not turning out the way I had hoped. Fear of failure.
I watched a great short video on the weekend of Will Smith as he describes his experience of skydiving. He speaks about the deep sensation of fear that seeps through every inch of his body on the way up in the plane. He shares how his mind is arguing it’s rational as to why he shouldn’t jump but at the same time, why he can’t back out. He then goes on to describe that the point of maximum danger is the point of minimum fear.
That hit me deeply.
It made me realize that fear is something we construct in ourselves long before we’re in any form of danger. Which means we end up creating an experience that was unnecessarily filled with angst and negative thoughts. Once you take the leap, you release all of that in an instant. You surrender to the process, because that’s all you can do, once you’ve taken the leap.
This little ah-ha moment was the first nudge I needed to take my leap.
I’ve been working on creating my Conscious Confidence Course for a number of months now, and the time has come for me to share it. With other people. Publicly.
The second nudge I needed came from the people that I’ve been talking to about the course. Like Mandy from Tums 2 Tots who is doing a giveaway for one lucky winner to win free access to the course!
And the third, most important, nudge I needed was reminding myself that there are women out there who need help with their confidence sooner rather than later, and the longer I wait to launch, the longer those women have to continue struggling on their own. So I listened to my own advice, I’m standing (or rather sitting) tall as I write this and announcing officially that –
So over the coming weeks, watch out for opportunities for you to win free access. Or if you’d rather beat Lady Luck to it, you can get your hands on the special launch price now!
Or head on over to Tums 2 Tots and stand the chance of winning.
