I met Leigh and Annelize in a coffee shop to chat about their upcoming headshots. I’ve photographed many, many estate agents in my time so it was an absolute delight to meet these two and observe their camaraderie that’s clearly developed after working so closely together for so many years.

Annelize – Being an on-site specialist agent ensures that our clients receive the best profesional service and knowledge expected from our international luxury brand. We excel in experience and focus solely on properties within the estate, Pearl Valley at Val de Vie.
Why do you do what you do?
Leigh – Passionate about property and Pearl Valley specifically and love the meeting of and interaction with clients
Annelize – I love the interaction with different people, not one day is the same. It gives me great satisfaction to be part of such an important decision, buying a home. Ultimately, it comes down to helping people. Either selling their property or buying a new one.
What has been your biggest challenge as a business owner & how did you overcome it?
Leigh – Starting a new career after 25 years in the Financial Services industry but overcome by the enjoyment of meeting new people and moving to such a beautiful part of the Cape
Annelize – To not judge nor decide for my clients what is best for them. I had to learn to listen, to really listen to them and to lead them on their path, not mine. Guide but not push.
What advice would you give other business women, either starting out or already in business?
Leigh – Do what gives you precious time with your family and not a career that takes you away from home and requires extended working hours
Annelize – You have to enjoy what you do, the rest is basic hard work and dedication that comes with discipline and drive. Learn from others and always be ethical and sincere.
What would you do differently if you could start your business again?
Leigh – Start my own property company
Annelize – I would’ve started in this amazing industry years ago.
What’s next for you and your business? What’s your big dream/goal?
Leigh – To continue what I love doing the best way I can
Annelize – Further education in my field.
