Last month I had the great pleasure of working with one of South Africa’s amazing local talents, Jeremy Olivier.
I had met Jeremy a couple of times while working and his music would always have me tapping my toe and humming along while I snapped away at the ambiance it was creating among the audience who were fortunate enough to be in attendance.
Jeremy contacted me last month to do a shoot for his marketing campaign and album work. I jumped at the opportunity. You know what they say, change is as good as a holiday. We arranged to do the shoot at the Upper Eastside Hotel in Woodstock, Cape Town. It’s many different facades and varied decor providing us with a wide choice of backdrops. Later we went outside into the not-quite-as-glam neighbourhood, but the contrast in texture lent itself the look we were going for.
I added a bit of off-camera flash for an added dimension.
